Everyone loves ice cream or gelato, it doesn’t matter what time of year it is! Dean and I tried nearly every flavour when we visited Italy this year – his favourite is the Amarena Cherry and mine is Tiramisu. This gelato has all the flavours of Christmas and mince pies so it’s a real winner!

What’s the difference between ice cream and gelato I hear you ask? Gelato uses condensed milk instead of cream so it has much less fat. Also it doesn’t require churning as ice cream does which results in a smoother, silkier texture.

Really Easy Christmas Gelato

Total Time 1 day
Servings 1 large tub

Ingredients
  

  • 450 g light condensed mik
  • 500 g double cream
  • 400 g mince meat
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1.5 tsp cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Put all the ingredients in a bowl apart from the mince meat and whisk together until you have soft peaks.
  • Add the whole jar of mince meat and stir in with a wooden spoon.
  • Put your mixture into a tub and freeze for 24 hours.
  • Enjoy over the festive period!
