Jackfruit Kimchi Baos

Ingredients
  

Jackfruit filling

  • 225 g tinned jackfruit
  • 12 g fresh ginger grated
  • 2 tsp kimchi paste
  • 1 tsp garlic puree

Slaw

  • 60 g cabbage shredded
  • 3 radish sliced
  • 1 small carrot shredded
  • 1/2 lime juice
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 handful fresh coriander

Extras

  • 4 baos
  • 2 spring onions sliced lengthways
  • 1 small red chilli sliced
  • 1 tsp powdered seaweed (Aonori)

Instructions
 

  • Place the baos into a steamer and follow the packet instruction to cook.
  • In a bowl mix all the ingredients for your slaw together and set aside.
  • In another bowl add all the ingredients of your jackfruit filling and mix together.
  • When your baos are nearly ready, heat through the jackfruit filling in a frying pan for few minutes.
  • Spoon the jackfruit filling on to your bao topped with the slaw, spring onion and red chilli if you wish for more heat.
  • Sprinkle some seaweed powder on top of each bao. Eat with the rest of the slaw on the side. Enjoy!
